ROBERT Kabuye has been relieved from his duties as assistant coach at KCC FC. According to Kampala City Council (KCC) sports officer Tom Lwanga, the youthful trainer’s dismissal followed a request by newly-appointed head coach Jackson Mayanja to change the training staff.

“Kabuye worked under Mike Mutebi then later Hussein Kheri but our new coach told us he wanted a change,” said Lwanga.

Mayanja, who has since managed just one league win in his three fixtures this season, however pointed out that it was the ever increasing number of incensed clubs fans, who had demanded for his sacking. “I have no problem with Kabuye. It is fans who requested to have him out after discovering that he had become a very big problem among the players,” said Mayanja.

Kabuye has since been held responsible for the departure of key players Dan Walusimbi (Police), Ronald Apangu, and Patrick Ogwang.
