The theme was Loving the excellent way. The dancers and the models who took part in the fashion show wore red, white and black. The dress code was African.
Arapapa Fashion House and Raphael House showcased their designs.
The fashion show offered unique designs to couples intending to wed this year. The launch of the mass wedding has been code-named ‘the big one 2’ (biggie two).
The first mass wedding of its kind in Uganda took place two years ago in October, in which 49 couples got married.
Allen Kagina, the commissioner general of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Pastor Michael Kyazze, his wife Christine and their daughters officially launched ‘the big one’ by unveiling the plaque.
“Two years ago, I had a vision to move homes of people from places of cohabitation to places of covenants. I believe the family is the foundation of a nation.
“I am encouraging my pastoral friends and organisations to take this as one of the options of fighting AIDs,†Kyazze, of Omega Healing Center, said.
The Omega worship team put up a wild performance, with dancers dressed in kangas and black trousers.
The Crane Performers kept guests hooked to the captivating traditional dances. Renown gospel artiste Betty Nakibuuka also performed.
