Government rehabilitates Kisoro road

THE ministry of local government, through the area-based agricultural modernisation programme (AAMP) on wednesday handed over 15.8kms of road to kisoro district.

THE ministry of local government, through the area-based agricultural modernisation programme (AAMP) on wednesday handed over 15.8kms of road to kisoro district.
The road was supervised by BMW consulting engineers. BMW senior engineer Tony Busisa said works on the road included rehabilitation, gravelling and construction of two bridges.
AAMP programme facilitator Benjamin kumumanya said the road was part of the government’s effort to eradicate poverty and was in line with the plan for modernisation of agriculture framework. He said the project was being done in Kasese, Mbarara, bushenyi, Ntungamo and Kabale.
