Oryada upsets Mugabi

FORMER top seed Andrew Jackson Oryada came from a set down to beat national coach Simon Mugabi in the men’s badminton singles final in the Kampala Club’s Chairman’s Cup action Thursday evening.
Oryada, who had eliminated Stanbic Bank’s Daniel Nsibambi enroute to the finals, defended the title he won last year in the MTN sponsored event.
Ketty Kabenge was the other champion, lifting the women table tennis title in the action that climaxes today with the crowning of the winners in the different disciplines which among others include mweso, chess, darts, tennis, table tennis and squash.
The swimming competition will also be held today.
