A MOB of bodaboda cyclists attacked a home in Nyakabwera in Kabwohe/Itendero town council, Bushenyi district and burnt houses and slashed down a banana and coffee plantation.

The attack followed the discovery of the body of their colleague, Sylvester Ahimbisibwe, buried in the banana plantation belonging to Mzee Wilson Wilson Bukuru, 50.
Ahimbisibwe, in mid 30s, went missing on Sunday.

The angry cyclists said Tayebwa Bukuru, a son of Mzee Bukuru, had an appointment with Ahimbisibwe to take him (Tayebwa) the following morning to an unknown destination.

They said when Ahimbisibwe went to pick Tayebwa from his home, he was killed and buried in the plantation. After four days, His motorcycle was found abandoned on a road.

The cyclists held Tayebwa and demanded that he produce Ahimbisibwe.

They also raided and searched the home of Tayebwa’s father.
During the search, they noticed fresh soil resembling a grave near the compound in the banana plantation. They dug up the place and found Ahimbisibwe’s body.

The exhumation of the body was witnessed by Sheema North MP Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye and the Kabwohe /Itendero town council mayor Kadhir Kafureka, conducted by the Bushenyi Police and residents.

The Police said they would dig around Tayebwa’s land, adding, “We suspect there might be other people around who were killed and buried in such a way because the area is full of mysterious red soils.”
