At Silk Royale’s Hot Friday launch, they did more than mesmerise revellers. The venue suited their skimpy dressing, the very subject for which some ‘moralists’ heavily criticised the babes on the streets.
With many cars passing by, motorists and pedestrians alike were in danger of crashing into something. What with their stares at the hot babes distributing Hot 100 flyers. That was the situation on the streets. But in the club on Friday night, it was much different because the babes were very much within every revellers reach that many felt like getting up close and personal.
This wasn’t staring but gaping and gawking! What would any hot-blooded young male do when red-hot babes in costumes akin to bikinis are gyrating in front of him atop loudspeakers?
The Smirnoff Black Ice sponsored night had DJs from Kenya’s Homeboyz Entertainment whipping patrons into a frenzy. The patrons had to keep their feet moving on the floor as their eyes were glued to the in-house plasma screens to catch the action.
Almost every song that was played for those on the floor had its video immediately relayed on screen. This left some wondering whether to dance while watching, sit and watch or just dance. What a night!
