Julius Onyasi and Lukwago Kawaga died at 10:45am as they cleared a foundation pit where Tusiime wants to erect a structure.

— Kenya Police on Wednesday impounded 31 bags of coffee beans worth about Ksh1m destined for the Ugandan black market, newspapers reported. CID officer Abdi Salat said his officers intercepted a vehicle ferrying the coffee in Kericho town and arrested two suspects. He said the vehicle on the Kericho-Kisumu highway was waiting for a bus to pick up the consignment.

— The Police have arrested eight suspects from Obalanga sub-county over theft of cattle from Karamoja. Regional Police chief Andrew Sorowen on Thursday confirmed the arrest but declined to name the suspects, saying it would jeopardise investigations.

Police nab MITYANA — The Police on Thursday night arrested eight people over election violence. District Police chief Patrick Karamura said the suspects were agents of mayoral incumbent candidate Stanley Kijjambu and NRM’s Henry Makumbi Kamya. “They were campaigning at night when they clashed and almost killed each other,” he said.
