LIRA — Over 1,500 internally displaced persons in Ireda and All Nations camp were left homeless on Friday after heavy rains destroyed nearly 400 temporary houses. The camp commandant, bosco Acur, said an old woman, Herishi Alango, and two children sustained injuries.

GULU — Noah’s Ark, a child-oriented Christian organisation with funding from Outchtree foundation, has started a programme for the war-affected children. The project coordinator, Annet Kurui, told counsellors at Diana Gardens on Wednesday that the project aims at improving the protection of children and reducing domestic violence.
