NEW Vision came from two defeats to beat Daily Monitor 3-1 in the Corporate League opening day match dubbed the media derby at Kyadondo Rugby grounds on Sunday.
Uganda’s leading daily had succumbed to a humiliating 4-0 loss to Uganda Breweries and a 2-1 defeat to surprise opponents Standard Chartered who replaced MTN who did not show up. A brace by Gloria Mukiibi and a Kapere Sserunjogi late strike left Monitor ‘keeper Douglas Bugingo hapless.
Champions Kabojja won all their matches against Motorcare, X-tel, Nile Bank and IAA.
New entrants X-tel put up their best and held AAR to 1-1 draw. Mogas also played a 1-1 draw against IAA.
