KABAROLE — A man suspected of killing his wife using a hoe in Kamwenge district has been committed to the High Court. Fort Portal Magistrate Godfrey Bindeeba heard that George Butigiri of Kebisigo village, nyamashegwa parish, hit Peace Violet with a hoe that killed her instantly on May 7, 2005.

RAKAI — Prisons commander Eriyas Sekyanzi has asked district authorities and the Government to construct the remand prison at the district headquarters. He said prisoners on remand were staying in structures which were originally meant to be cotton stores.
