Kampala Singers, an inter-denominational choral group of international calibre, will hold two Easter concerts at Namirembe Cathedral on Saturday and Sunday starting at 5:30pm.

KAMPALA SINGERS to stage TWO EASTER CONCERTS
Kampala Singers, an inter-denominational choral group of international calibre, will hold two Easter concerts at Namirembe Cathedral on Saturday and Sunday starting at 5:30pm. The concert will feature Beethoven’s Mass in C Op.86 as the major work. Versatile musician Fred Musoke Kiggundu will conduct the choir. Entry will be free, but there will be a retiring collection at the end of the concert.

ZAAKE IN ARUSHA FOR EAST AFRICAN ANTHEM SELECTION
Choral Conductor Andrew Ssengendo Zaake of Nakasero’s All Saints’ Cathedral will represent Uganda on the musical panel to choose an anthem for the East African Community in Arusha, Tanzania. The anthem, to be declared tomorrow, will be chosen from three compositions submitted from the three East African countries.


MESACH SSEMAKULA AT NAKULABYE
Mesach Ssemakula will lead the Eagles Production in a show dubbed Hot and Sweet Mberenge at Nakulabye's New Life Bar on Saturday starting 7:00pm.


WINNERS TO HOLD SHOW AT NAKIVUBO
Some of the candidates who won in the recent parliamentary and local government elections have organised the show to thank their supporters. The show, expected to feature top artistes, will take place at Nakivubo stadium on Sunday staring 2:00pm. Entry fee is sh2,000.


EBONIES AT KAMWOKYA CENTRE
The Ebonies will stage their drama Obnoxious Abomination Mbukuuli at the New Kamwokya Centre on Sunday.

ABAFRIKA’S LAST SHOW
The Abafrika and Kitara Drama Actors will stage their drama Nyungu ya Maawe at the National Theatre on Sunday. The drama features exciting characters like Desha Kaikai and Winkle Rutamirika.
