A MECHANIC was on Friday sentenced to four-months imprisonment for injuring a cyclist.
Joseph Kimugwe pleaded guilty before Mwanga II Road Court magistrate Boniface Wamala.
Prosecution said kimugwe, driving a Toyota Hiace, hit Asaba on August 20, 2005.

ADF exist

The UPDF in the rwenzori region has confirmed that armed men ambushed on Friday evening in Bundibugyo district were ADF rebels. The Rwenzori mountains Alpine Brigade spokesperson, Lt Robert Kamara, said the rebels were part of the ADF based in the DR Congo.

Fees boost

A LOCAL NGO, Youth Alert Mission organisation, has given sh4m to three schools as fees for 37 students in Buikwe county in Mukono district. The beneficiary schools were Equator College, Lugazi, Lugazi progressive College and Buganda Royal Academy. NGO director Norman muwul-ize appealed to children to uplift Buganda’s heritage.

KAMPALA City Council (KCC) inspector of schools Max Okot has called for compulsory teaching of Information and communication technology (ICT) in primary schools. He said this while Muyenga Rotary Club handed over scholastic materials to St. Steven Kabowa Primary School on Friday.
