Operators win with South African

SOUTH African Airways (SAA), a leading African airline, joined the Star Alliance recently and celebrated the achievement at a dinner held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel Thursday night.

SOUTH African Airways (SAA), a leading African airline, joined the Star Alliance recently and celebrated the achievement at a dinner held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel Thursday night.

Star Alliance is the first aviation alliance to include an African airline (SAA). Aaron Munetsi was introduced as the new SAA regional manager East Africa and Middle East, while
Yogi Birigwa will be the new country manager for Uganda and Rwanda.

The best and most improved travel agencies were awarded for selling SAA. The top prize went to Uganda Travel Bureau, followed by Uniglobe, Let’s Go Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

Most improved agents were Simba Travel Care, Swift Freight Tours and Travel Ltd. A lucky Bruce Kanabahita (right) of Bunyonyi Safaris won a trip for two to USA after a raffle conducted by the South African High Commissioner.
