Was your face raided with pimples and scars? Do you dread meeting friends and having to answer the question; what happened? Was it a cream or lotion which disorganised your previous smooth face? Or is it puberty?
Don’t worry; you can cleanse your skin with local products in your kitchen. Mix fresh milk and ripe tomato juice and apply them onto your face. They will cleanse your skin.
Good tomatoes are an abundant source of vitamins A, B (including folic acid), and C; potassium and magnesium; and valuable antioxidants and trace elements. The high acid content in the recipe – lactic acid in the milk and fruit acid in the tomato – gives this cleansing lotion a gentle peeling action.

Mixing
Get one medium-sized ripe tomato and squeeze out the juice using a food processor or blender. Filter through a sieve and discard the pulp. Add the tomato juice to an equal amount of fresh whole milk and store in a covered container in the refrigerator for less than six hours. That is the recipe’s shelf life.
Treatment
Before you apply the recipe, test on the inside arm or wrist for any possible allergic reactions.
If it is okay, apply to the face and neck, using cotton pads, once or twice a day. Leave the pads on for 10 minutes and rinse with bottled or spring water. Then pat dry.
Use once or twice daily for one week. Your facial skin will be cleansed. It is however, not recommended for sensitive skin. You need to test on arm skin first for possible effects.
