KCC FC made the first move in the mid-season transfer exercise yesterday by snatching SC Villa defender Robert Tumusime and Police FC midfielder Sula Lwanga.

Tumusime, who has had a good season after being out of the game for a year with a knee injury, was one of the most experienced defenders at Villa Park.

Tumusime and Lwanga picked forms and returned them in the afternoon, indicating their desire to join KCC.

Earlier, Police’s Robert Kimuli picked and returned forms indicating a possible move to Bunamwaya, were his former assistant coach Charles Ayieko is now in charge.

Competitions committee administrative secretary Aisha Nalule is in charge of the one-week transfer exercise that started yesterday at FUFA House in Mengo.

* GEORGE Ssimwogerere has said his Express FC side will be ‘indomitable’ in the second round of the national Super league after the signing of Cameroonian players Emma Zitolo and Eric Ngako.

Zitolo, a robust central defender and Ngako, an attacking player, are two significant arrivals at Wankulukuku that Express will look to as they try to hold onto their status as league table leaders.

“At times I had to use defenders as midfielders and strikers pushed into midfield but the two players will now give us extra depth. I really needed them especially going into a tricky second round,” stated Ssimwogerere.

The Cameroonians, who had spent a couple of months training with South African club Super Sport United, were part of the Express side that lost 4-5 in a Labour Day Cup shoot-out against Kampala United.
