A local immigration service firm, R4 International, has warned the public against impostors who have conned people of their money claiming to be employees of the firm.

“We have received reports of people who have taken money from the public in our name promising to get them visas and working permits abroad,” the company’s director, Constance Kiyegga Lwanga, told reporters recently.

Lwanga urged people to go directly go to the firm’s offices at the main post office’s annex to receive help on how to get the visas.

He said many people are denied visas to especially western countries like UK and US because they lack the necessary information about the requirements of those countries.

“Many people are denied visas to some countries because they don’t know what it takes. Others lie about reasons for seeking the visas,” Lwanga said.
