By Emmy Olaki MutliChoice has introduced a new decoder that allows subscribers record programmes they don’t want to miss and play back later. “You don’t have to miss your favourite programme or episode of your favourite series. You can record it every week. This decoder can record over 80 hours of TV time. Imagine how many movies or programmes you can record,†Hellena Mayanja, the public relations officer, said. The decoder, Personal Video Recorder (PVR), has an instant replay facility. “Ever seen an unbelievable goal that you want to see again or a scene in a movie? The PVR has an instant replay feature to jump back 10 seconds,†Mayanja said. The facility, which will be available for sale at the end of the month, will address viewing conflicts at home because you can have two televisions showing different channels while recording a programme from another channel. The decoder will cost $732 (sh1,339,560) for the complete set if you are getting a decoder and $639 (sh1,169,370) if you are upgrading from dual view or $637 if you are upgrading from single view.
