SEYANI Brothers and Company has won a $2m (about sh3.7b) tender to construct a hall that will accommodate 400 male students at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono .

Vincent Mugaba, the university’s spokesman, said the first phase of the project would cost $550,000 (sh1b).

“Work should be finished by December. The block will accommodate 180 students,” Mugaba said.

He said the project was funded by USAID through the university’s friends, America Schools and Hospitals Abroad.

Mugaba said the building constructed during the second phase would accommodate 220 students.

He said the hall would ease crowding at the other halls.
