A WEATHER forecast for May and June indicates that most parts of the country are currently receiving normal rains that are expected to persist until early June, reports Charles Ariko.

In the western and southwestern regions, rainfall is expected to decline earlier than in other regions.
The dry season is expected to set in late this month or early June in some areas.

The Lake Basin and central regions are expected to continue receiving adequate rains up to early June when the dry season sets in.
The eastern region is expected to continue getting moderate rains up to early June before the dry season.

The forecast issued by the Meteorology Department said this year’s season had been well established, including the northern region that usually experiences one rainfall season in a year.
