KYENJOJO district chairperson William Kaija is to advocate for a regional tier for the unity of Kabarole, Kyenjojo and Kamwenge districts.

KYENJOJO district chairperson William Kaija is to advocate for a regional tier for the unity of Kabarole, Kyenjojo and Kamwenge districts, reports Bizimungu Kisakye.

He said if the districts supported the regional tier and became one local government, it would attract more funds from the Government.

He said the district would spearhead the establishment of new administrative units and a major district hospital. “If possible, Kyaka constituency will become a district,” Kaija said.

He was addressing people at Kasina after being sworn-in on Tuesday by the chief magistrate, Londo Obbo.

Resident district commissioners Abdul Nsereko, Clement Kandole and Mwenge South MP Aston Kajara attended.
He said they would construct more maternity wards and health units at parish level.
