FUFA wants the education and sports ministry’s input in selecting a new Cranes coach after Serbian Tomislav Sivic snubbed the job, writes Swalley Kenyi.

In a May 20 letter to the permanent secretary, FUFA chief executive Charles Masembe said seven tacticians he did not name were contesting the job. “As a mother, we wanted you to assist FUFA in short listing, interview and recruit a coach that is suitable,” Masembe said.

FUFA publicist Aldrine Nsubuga said 30 coaches had applied.
NCS’ Jasper Aligawesa welcomed the development saying FUFA now recognised government.
