Back to school means back to school routine.
Home activities normally impact on a pupil or student’s time management, personal initiative, interaction, responsibility and management of work. As the term begins, candidate classes should know they have less than five months to the final exams, so settle down for serious work.
The following tips can be of help:
l Mr. Patrick Bakka Male, the headteacher of Mengo Senior School, believes you should share this term’s vision with your parents. Whenever you freely interact with your parent, you are likely to get ideas that can help you strive for or achieve academic excellence.
l Be time conscious. Learn how to manage your time well by focusing more on activities that are more important for your academics. The school time-table helps you to plan your time. Some schools begin the term with exams as a progressive assessment policy. This helps you examine your strength and weaknesses.
l Budget your money wisely. Save some money for you may never know when you need to buy something crucial.
l Discuss objective topics with friends. This will spur you to greater heights.
l Learn something new. Let your behaviour at home, in the neighbourhood and at school reflect a better person. Let your deeds like dressing and relationships with people bring a positive impact in your society.
l Keep healthy. Watch your eating habits. Do not just eat anything. Some snacks look appetising but are less nutritious than well-prepared food.
Avoid alcohol and smocking as these deter you from aiming for better grades and may lead to expulsion from school.
Have a wonderful term.
