Gulu receives 24,170 iron sheets

GULU district has received 24,170 iron sheets from the Central Government for the resettlement of the internally displaced people as promised by President Yoweri Museveni recently, outgoing RDC Max Omeda has said.

GULU district has received 24,170 iron sheets from the Central Government for the resettlement of the internally displaced people as promised by President Yoweri Museveni recently, outgoing RDC Max Omeda has said.
Omeda said this on Monday, as he handed over to the new RDC, Col. Walter Ochora. The iron sheets are being stored at Gulu central prison.
Ochora said the Government had paid for the iron sheets in various industries in Uganda and Kenya.
He said the iron sheets would be given out to the beneficiaries without segregation based on political affiliation.
