Impala win K’la-Jinja Hash relay

IMPALA Hash team overcame tough terrain and weather to win the Kampala-Jinja Hash relay Saturday.

The champions captained by Jimmy Busulwa finished top in the 89.9km event after grossing a time of 7 hours, 26 minutes.

Waragi Regular team posed a major threat after towering Alex Ochola and Robert Kayongo took the opening legs.

Impala and Joggo clawed back into contention in the later stages of the race that was sponsored by FedEx Express.

Impala remained buoyant after Joshua Mbada solely swept three stages. He was bolstered by Sam Sessanga, Adrian Mubiru and Joseph Sessanga.

The race organised by Kampala Hash House Harriers, had nine teams, each fielding nine participants. It is earmarked for a regional event next year.
