Police has no voice!

SIR — Uganda’s parliament has grown from small to big, and from big to extra-ordinarily big. All this has been done in a good spirit of accommodating wide views and taking care of special interest groups like women, the physically impaired, the youth and the army.

However, a special interest group which has been taking care of our security for the last 100 years — the Uganda Police force has never been given a voice to air their views and problems to the citizens of this country.

As the police celebrates 100 years of existence, our law makers should listen to them by at least offering them 10 seats in the next parliament.
