WHILE most exhibitions will be filled with pundits poking their minds about the intricacies of the concept portrayed in the art, at The New Vision’s Ras (Charles Mike Onen) cartoon display, nothing but chuckles and laughter was in the air.

Famed for his ‘balls’ emphasis on the characters he themed on in his cartoons, he made light work of lifting the mood of those who turned up at Jubilee Insurance Building.

Richard Byarugaba, MD Nile Bank confessed that Ras had ‘had’ him twice before and was infectiously impressed with his art.

“I have always been a big fan of cartoons from childhood. If anything, I think it is the ultimate depiction of life through drawing that eventually tells a story using humour, tact and satire. Ras is really brilliant with his pencils,” he remarked.

Present were New Vision management, former German Ambassador Klaus Holderbaum and Morine Wavamunno amongst others.
