WILSON Busienei clocked seven minutes 46 seconds in 3000m to register a personal best – the third national best – at the African Athletics Confederation (AAC) permit meet in Alger, Algeria on Thursday.
The Ndejje University student finished fourth in the race won by Algerian Saidi Seif at 7:44.40, improving his personal best of 7:52.37 he set last week in Poland.
“He is running good times ahead of international competitions,” said his country manager Flavio Pasqualato.
Meanwhile, world steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru has been entered for the IAAF Grand prix in Heusden, Belgium, raising hope that she will have an international meet before the Africa championships in Mauritius in August.
Inzikuru will however miss the “Tsiklitiria - OPAP” Super Grand Prix in Athens July 3.
