Semakula launches ‘First Aid’

Mesach Semakula will release his First Aid album today at Hotel Africana. Semakula will also release the first-ever commercial video documentary of a local artiste.

Mesach Semakula will release his First Aid album today at Hotel Africana. Semakula will also release the first-ever commercial video documentary of a local artiste.

“The documentary will be interspersed with music videos from the beginning of my career todate,” Semakula says.
He says it will profile his music career from the beginning of his humble beginnings with the Gebros Band and will include interviews with family members, friends, fellow artsites and people who have been central to his musical success.

Todate, Mesach has shot over 13 music videos in a career that spans over six years with four years of concentrate stardom. Among the videos that will feature in the collection are First Aid, Njagala Ngabwendi, Osijali, Ndeka Nkole Byenjagala, Obuyinza Bwo and Mbivudemu (off his 2006 First Aid album); Kankutendereze and Sigwe Osimira (Off his 2005 Abakazi Abaguma album); Tukwegomba Bangi, Mimi Nakupenda and Kulika Baby (off his 2004 Teli Alumilirwa album).

Semakula’s First Aid launch will include Eagles Production members: Ronald Mayinja, Haruna Mubiru, Catherine Kusasira, Irene Namubiru, Stecia Mayanja, Charles Sekyewa, Fred Seruga, Grace Sekamatte, Maureen Nantume and Geoffrey Lutaaya. Other artistes will include Paulo Kafeero, silver Kyagulangi, Bobi Wine, Julianna Kanyomozi, Dream Girls and Mariam Ndagire.
