The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Mutebi, has encouraged educationists to identify and develop the respective talents of students. He said performing arts like music, dance and drama make a significant contribution to the country’s development. Mutebi was speaking at the closure of the Royal Arts Shield Festival at Old Kampala SSS on July 15.

The town council has received sh40m from the central government for the financial year 2006/7. The town mayor, Henry Kamya, said the money would be used to tarmack some roads, put up street lights and clean the town.
