This year, it has come earlier than expected. We do not have to wait for the All-Stars at the end of the year as they are set to revive the Omwana we Ngoma social drama starting this weekend at Pride Theatre. And they bring the play back with a new flavour since many of the actors here are masters of improvisation.

All-Stars is a combination of the best from Bakayimbira dramactors and Afri-talent.

Written by Mariam Ndagire and Charles Ssenkubuge “Siasa”, the play about loyalty to royalty should be engaging for any cultural enthusiasts. And since we are only human because we have culture, it takes a universal perspective that goes beyond the issues evolving around Kabakaship.

The production will feature Andrew Benon Kibuuka, Aloysius Matovu Joy, Abbey Mukiibi, John Segawa, Lady Aisha, Patricko Mujuuka, and many regular stage stars. And since Mulindwa Muwonge has steadily grown on stage in the past productions, this should put him on the same altitude with the rest.

What makes the All-Stars a crowd puller is the experience of witnessing big stage names taking on minor roles.

There are two shows lined up on Saturday and Sunday.
