PRO-LINE soccer academy, intended to have an average of three Ugandan youngsters dispatched to the West Ham and Manchester United football academies every season will be launched today at the Lugogo grounds. The academy is scheduled to have an initial entry of three age categories of 3-6, 7-10 and 11-15.

UTA hosts
UGANDA Tennis Association (UTA) host a professional Futures tennis event next month. Uganda is part of a regional Future circuit that has Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda. The circuit provides players the entry to professional tournaments.

Lama snubs
HARAMBEE Stars French coach, Bernard Lama has said he will not call up any foreign-based player for the September 3 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Eritrea.
In a move that is bound to shock some of the country’s professionals, Lama said he had scouted enough locally-based talent for the tie against Eritrea.
