President Yoweri Museveni has urged Movement mobilisers to tirelessly sensitise the masses about the Movement system to strengthen it at the grassroot.
Museveni was on Sunday attending the NRM thanksgiving and victory celebrations at the home of the late vice-president, Dr. Samson Kisekka, in temmangalo, Wakiso district, a statement said.
Museveni praised Mary Kisekka, the widow, for spearheading the NRM election campaigns in Wakiso district. Mrs. Kisekka led a special election task-force during the presidential and general elections this year.
He said the efforts of Kisekka’s task force were not acts to benefit individuals but attempts to bring good leaders to power.
Museveni said the challenge now is to fight poverty at household level. He said the three keys to increased household income are to estimate what income one needs per year and identify the assets one has before determining how one can use those assets to generate the needed income.
Present were information and communication technology minister Dr. Ham Muliira, economic monitoring state minister Kagimu Kiwanuka and entebbe mayor stephen Kabuye.
