UAGANDA Revenue Authority has threatened to suspend 12 clearing firms over irregularities in documentation of goods.

The firms were given seven days from August 24 to ensure that they correct the errors, a statement at the Customs Business Centre said.

The statement reads, “The following clearing firms should urgently account for goods cleared on entries indicated on the table within seven days. Failure to do so shall compel us to recommend for suspension of the clearing firm without further warning.”
“A late payment penalty of 2% per month is also payable,” it said.
