A 73-year-old farmer in Wakiso district is the latest winner in the ongoing New Vision Cashlines promotion.
John Walakira of Buso, Namulonge received the sh300,000 cash prize from New Vision deputy circulation manager Danny Kawuma at the company headquarters in Industrial Area.
“I am so happy. I thank God for this win. Ten percent of this money will go to the church,†a smiling Walakira said soon after receiving the money.
“I thank The New Vision and I pray that it progresses. I urge people to participate in the game so that they can win,†he said.
To increase his chances of winning, Walakira started buying newspapers daily soon after the launch of the game.
Saying more money was available, Kawuma urged the readers to continue playing the game meant to reward readers.
A detailed advert on how to play the game is also running in The New Vision daily.
To participate, one has to buy a copy of the paper daily to check for the winning numbers on page two. If any of the winning numbers match the numbers on the game card, circle off only the matching numbers on the card.
