Chagga lights up Mbale
Mbale Resort Hotel held the Miss Mbale Resort Hotel beauty contest on Saturday at an event where fans were also treated to performances from Chagga and the TCK dance troupe from Kampala. Although it was a beauty contest, the girls did not capture the revellers’ attention. However, when Chagga stepped on stage with his Jangu Enno Maama, the revellers started dancing and jumping.

FR. MUGABO brings out ‘KATONDA YEEBALE’
The Rev. Fr. Deogratias Mugabo of Lugazi Catholic diocese launched his album, Katonda Yeebale last Sunday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Mukono. Lugazi Cathedral’s St. Kizito Choir and Mbikko Brass Band featured at the show, which was highly exciting. Fr. Mugabo said he made the album to thank God for enabling the Christians of Lugazi diocese to build a Cathedral.

Heavenly Boyz TO RELEASE debut album ON SUNDAY
The Heavenly Boyz will launch their debut album, Taludde Yesu, at Seguku Worship Centre on Sunday at 3.00pm. The MC will be Rwabz, the presenter of the Yellow Top Ten on Power FM. The chief guests will be Super FM’s Pastor Peter Sematimba and former presidential aspirant, Abed Bwanika. Entry fee is sh3,000 for adults and sh1,500 for kids.

St. Lawrence students launch ‘WAMPOLOGOMA’
Kisa Production International, a band formed by St. Lawrence Senior Secondary School, Ssonde Namugongo on Sunday launched their maiden six-track album, Wampologoma, at the school in Mukono district. The album with Luganda afro-beat music has already been getting tremendous airtime on the local FM radio stations.

Loketo Lee still reigns AS NORTHERN KING
On Friday, the Northern PAM Awards artiste of the year, Loketo Lee launched his latest album, Mawe, at Rock Catalina in Ntinda. Loketo Lee proved to us that he deserved the award he won last year. A mammoth crowd graced Loketo Lee’s show, which kicked off at 7:00pm.
