KAMPALA: 170 arrested
Over 170 people suspected of terrorising motorists and people residing along Lugogo By-Pass and surrounding areas, were arrested. They were arrested on Wednesday morning in Kasenke zone, Naguru, a city suburb. The operation was conducted by the police and Violent Crimes Crack Unit, City Police chief Grace Turyagumanawe said.

KAMPALA: Plan ready
A new policy aimed at finding new and sustainable solutions to the human settlements in urban centres is in the offing, state minister for urban development Urban Tibamanya said on Monday. This was in a speech read by the housing permanent secretary, Eng. B.S Kabanda, at the opening of a workshop at Grand Imperial Hotel.

KAMPALA: No fire
Ndere Centre director Stephen Rwangyezi has dismissed reports that all their structures were gutted by fire on Tuesday. He told journalists the fire destroyed the kitchen.
