The BLU*3 girls (right) are back on the charts, and are probably feeling good about it. No artist likes being called a one-hit wonder, but that was where the three girls were going. Since their song Hitaji was a hit of sorts we had not heard from them, but they are back, and they are strong.
Their song Nsanyuka Nawe is storming music charts of Kampala FM stations, and looks set to stay there for quite some time.
According to the latest City Beat Top 40 chart, which was due to come out today, Nsanyuka Nawe is number one on the CBS chart, number nine on Radio Simba, and number seven on the Capital FM charts. Only Madoxx Sematimba’s Nakatudde appears on three of the four radio stations that make up the Top 40. His song is number two on CBS, eighth on Simba and fourth on Capital Radio.
Last month’s favourite song, Nkuweeki by Iryn Namubiru, has dropped to sixth on CBS and second on Capital Radio. Mbarara-based Lady Mariam took Simba’s top spot with her song Tindatine, and is fifth on CBS. Jangu, the Obsessions new song, is fifth on Simba. Ngoni’s Bigula is fourth on Simba, while Nakupenda entered CBS at eighth, but fell out of Capital Radio.
Sweet Kid’s Sirikyusa is th highest climber on CBS, climbing three places to third, while Bobi Wine’s Ghetto also climbed to fourth.
