The British Prime Minister will reside at Emin Pasha hotel on Nakasero hill during the Commonwealth summit.
The hotel on two acres of landscaped gardens contains 16 rooms and four suites.
Kampala mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala said the hotel was selected by the British High Commission in Kampala and the ministry of foreign affairs.
Current British Premier Tony Blair leaves office in May.
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) will take place in November next year.
The hotel derives its name from Mehmet Emin Pasha, a physician born on March 28, 1840. He was the governor of the Egyptian province of Equatoria on the upper Nile.
Opened in March 2005, the hotel was developed from a colonial house built in the 1920s.
Sebaggala said other leaders to the summit had been booked into Kampala Serena hotel and Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Recently the Government confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II of England, who is the head of the Commonwealth, will reside at the Entebbe State House, which is still under renovation.
As the CHOGM date nears, Kampala and Entebbe are witnessing a series of reconstruction activities on roads and hotels.
