HUNDREDS of Ugandans will tomorrow gather at Namboole Stadium for prayers.

The ceremony will involve a night of prayer and thanksgiving as the country prepares to mark the 49th independence anniversary.

President Yoweri museveni is expected to officiate at the annual function organised by the Christian Life Church (CLC), Bwaise.

CLC’s Pastor Jackson ssenyonga yesterday said the day’s activities would start at 10:00am and end at 6:00am on Saturday. During the day, 73 children’s homes will be dedicated to God.

The homes found in Seeta and Lira cater for children orphaned by the northern war and HIV. There will also be prayers for the sick.
