Ndorwa East MP Wilfred Niwagaba has cautioned leaders against greed, saying people’s welfare should be their first priority. He castigated leaders who pursue personal interests at the expense of the people. He was addressing leaders of Buhara on Friday.

KABAROLE: District gives
The district has given over sh50m to sub-counties under the local government development programme. They are Buheesi, katebwa, Kibito, Kisomoro, Rwiimi, bukuuku, Busoro, hakibaale, Kichwamba, muguusu and Karambi, chief administrative officer Okiror Iporotum said on Thursday.

JINJA: Project ready
The Central division is to open up a fishing project and landing site for the youth. The project is expected to employ over 200 youth. Division chairman Mubaraka Kirunda recently said the project would be located between Gomba and Marine fishing industries.

KAMPALA: EAC to review
The treaty that established the East African Community (EAC) is up for review following the emergence of new challenges and prospects of its enlargement. “After six years, in which strengths and weaknesses have been noted, the treaty is up for review,” said Wilbert Kaahwa, the counsel for the community.
