KAMPALA - The manager of Lanex Forex Bureau was on Wednesday charged with forgery. Buganda Road Court heard that Roopesh Dhirajlal Solanki fraudulently obtained $27,774 (sh51m) from his employers. He denied the four counts of forgery, two of obtaining money by false pretence and uttering false documents.

Kenyan finned

ENTEBBE - A Kenyan national, lawre-nce Njagi Njuki, was on Friday fined sh1m for carrying 50 pellets of narcotic drugs. Entebbe court Opifeni Anguandia also cautioned him against the act.

Tender due

MUKONO - The district is to tender out Ssenyi and Katosi landing sites despite the wrangle with Mengo government over their ownership. The LC5 chairperson, Francis Mukoome Lukooya, on Saturday told journalists that the two sites do not belong to Mengo government as claimed.
