DIANA Agaba and Josephine Namanda ambushed the queens of women’s beach volleyball at Lido Beach on Sunday.
The youthful team upstaged the Sophie Nanyonga (seed 1) and Sheila Omuriwe (now seed 3) pairing 2-1 to snatch their second trophy this year.
Agaba and Namanda lost the first set 21-18 but recovered to take the second 20-22 and win on points difference.
Although they should have played a tie breaker the organisers declared them champions when darkness engulfed the beach.
