FRANK ‘Video’ Anyau believes the capture of Dan Wagaluka and Patrick Ochan will preserve URA FC’s position at the summit of Ugandan football.

The two Cranes midfielders were the biggest names that showed interest in joining the league champions as the player transfer window started yesterday at FUFA offices in Mengo.

“They were the players we wanted. They will add something special to the side we are trying to build here,” coach Anyau said.
Kampala United custodian Joseph Babigumira was the third player that picked and returned forms intending to join the tax collectors.

With traditional giants KCC FC, Express and SC Villa yet to make a move in the window, the three players arrival already points to another one-horse league title race next season.

URA’s business in the transfer window is not finished yet with the champions set to sign a striker and defender.

Lowly Bunamwaya also stormed the market with the surprise capture of Simba and Cranes reserve goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge.

Muwonge will be joined by relegated Kampala United forward Andrew Ssali, who similarly confirmed his intentions.

FUFA competitions committee administrative secretary Aisha Nalule said the exercise that ends on October 30, had registered a positive start.
