During the PAM Awards sponsors’ bash at Kampala Casino recently, taekwondo expert and 2005 PAM Northern artiste of the year, Loketo Lee, was astounded to discover that not even being a celebrity could warrant his lack of a proper dress sense at a corporate do. The towering athlete was bounced at the entrance for appearing at a VIP function in a sleeveless Ganja emblazoned T-shirt. Naturally, the mean bouncers barred him. He huffed and puffed threatening to exercise his taekwondo skills on them, but the equally well-built kanyama didn’t budge. What was more intriguing, however, was that when Loketo realised he could not get in, he negotiated with a night duty Askari to hire the watchman’s casual.
The deal was soon struck. After parting with sh2,000, Loketo Lee emerged minutes later clad in the askari’s ill-fitting floral yellow shirt.
