HYDRA Form, makers of mobile block-making machines, has doubled production to meet increasing demand.
The managing director, Quintin Booysen, said the works minister had approved their blocks because they have a long life span and are environmentally-friendly.
The blocks are produced from sandy soil mixed with 5-10% cement.
Structures built with the blocks do not need ring beams and bullets cannot penetrate through the walls.
