The managing director, Quintin Booysen, said the works minister had approved their blocks because they have a long life span and are environmentally-friendly. The blocks are produced from sandy soil mixed with 5-10% cement. Structures built with the blocks do not need ring beams and bullets cannot penetrate through the walls. Ends
