Their journey has been a surprisingly quick one., causing waves of excitement everywhere, from the radio chart shows to concert venues.
The Dream Girls recently released their debut CD on radio, popularising a 1980’s style, afropop with a leaning to reggae.

The album, ‘Genda Okole’ is already getting tremendous airplay on all local FM radio stations. Many of the songs tackle love affairs and romance. The album is held together by a care-free attitude and sealed with the girls' heartfelt vocals.

Meanwhile, the girls must disprove critics who are foretelling their demise.

“All the Dream Girls have excellent vocals. However, they are yet to persuade the average Ugandan concert fanatic to appreciate their songs,” George Sempijja, a critic with the Makerere University department of Music, Dance and Drama observes.
And that is the essence of the Dream Girls’ new campaign.

Some of the already popular songs include, Engatto which has risen on the Super FM Top Ten chart show and Saanuuka (literally, melt) which recently hit the Capital FM charts.
Thegroup members are, Sera Shanada, Prisca Mikami, an erstwhile gospel singer. and Rena Nalumansi.
