KAMPALA-Third Deputy Prime Minister Ali Kirunda Kivejinja has filed a notice of appeal against a High Court judgment that nullified his election as Bugweri County MP. In the notice of appeal he filed in the Court of Appeal on November 1, Kivejinja says he was dissatisfied with the High Court judgment. Kivejinja's election was nullified on grounds that the polls were marred by intimidation and bribery. His lawyer, Didas, Nkurunziza, has requested for a typed copy of the proceeding to prepare for the appeal.

The compound was abandoned in 2000 after its leaders, Joseph Kibwetere, Cledonia Mwerinde and Dominic Kataribabo, disappeared when over 1,000 believers were burnt in their church.
