Kabaka Ronald Mutebi has hailed retired archbishop of Kampala Emm-anuel Cardinal Wamala.
He pledged to continue consulting Wamala on various kingdom matters.
The Kabaka credited the 80-year-old Cardinal (right) for striving for unity among Ugandans, fighting for peace and his wonderful guidance on political issues.
The commendation was contained in Mutebi’s statement read by Katikkiro Dan Muliika last week at Rubaga Cathedral.
Kampala Archdiocese bid farewell to the cleric who led it since October 30, 1988.
Mutebi said, “I sincerely credit Cardinal Wamala for his exemplary leadership, his love for Buganda kingdom and I will always cherish his good advice.
“Even after his retirement, I will continue to consult with him on all pertinent kingdom issues.”
