MBARARA chief administrative officer (CAO) and two other district officials on Friday failed to account for sh1.9b before MPs.

Paul Kiwuuwa reports that William Kanyesigye, the chief financial officer, Dennis Twinamasiko and the internal auditor, Martin Ahimbisibwe, were appearing before the committee chaired by Geoffrey Ekanya (Tororo) to answer queries in the Auditor General’s report for the financial year 2000/2001.
They were surcharged sh5m for negligence of duty.
