FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa is excited by the high morale in the Uganda Cranes camp. The Cranes are in preparation for next week’s CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Mulindwa, who visited the training camp at Mandela National Stadium Saturday morning, held separate meetings with players and the technical team.

“They are in a good mood. There’s no complaint on either side. The players and technical team are happy and focused on the tournament. Players are confident and eager to compete in the tournament. This is a sign that we will do well,” Mulindwa said.

After addressing players, he met coach Laszlo Csaba and his assistant Polly Ouma. He then had a one-on-one chat with Csaba for 20 minutes after which they shook hands and parted ways smiling.

The FUFA president braved the scorching sun to watch the training session.

Mulindwa will attend Cranes first match against Sudan on November 27 and will fly back to Addis Ababa for what promises to be a tense encounter against bitter rivals Rwanda on November 30.
“I must go back for the Rwanda match to encourage our boys,” Mulindwa said.

The Cranes depart on Wednesday for Addis Ababa where they will link up with captain Hannington Kalyesubula, Assani Bajope and Geoffrey Sserunkuma. The trio plays for Ethiopian champions St. George.
